International students wishing to enroll at the Round Rock Campus (RRC) are also required to complete an orientation experience. Students may register to complete the asynchronous online module to meet this requirement.
WHAT TO EXPECT FOR ORIENTATION
International students may fulfill their orientation requirement through one of these options:- An in-person, on-campus NSO Session during the month of June, July, or August
- An asynchronous online orientation module consisting of on-demand course modules and a required response form.
- To satisfy their orientation requirement, it is important for transfer students to sign up for and complete the online NSO modules within the required timeline.
Round Rock Campus
NSO Sign Up
- are about to graduate from high school and will start at Texas State the semester after graduation; or
- have graduated from high school and have not taken any college-level courses since graduating high school; or
- have graduated from high school and have taken college-level courses in a summer semester only
Transfer students :
- have graduated high school and completed college-level course work during a fall or spring semester at another college or university after high school graduation

SUMMER 2025 NSO DATES
- Complete asynchronous online modules by 5 p.m. on May 25, 2026, for June classes
- Complete asynchronous online modules by 5 p.m. on June 29, 2026, for July classes
Failure to complete the NSO requirement by the posted deadline could cause you to be dropped from all enrolled classes.
ONLINE NSO FEE = $70
Students signing up for NSO for Summer 2026 will pay a $70 fee at sign-up.*

Fall 2026 - Freshmen International Students

ONLINE NSO FEE = $70**
*Some international students may be eligible to attend a two-day on-campus NSO session at the San Marcos campus during the summer months. Students should contact International Student and Scholar Services to learn more about their ability to do so. Students signing up for a two-day on-campus NSO session will be charged a $185 fee**.
