WHAT TO EXPECT FOR ORIENTATION

Transfer students may fulfill their orientation requirement through one of these options:
  • A one-day, on-campus NSO Session on one of these dates:
June 20  
*More session dates in July and August will be available in the coming months

OR
  • An asynchronous online orientation module consisting of on-demand course modules and a required response form.
    • In order to satisfy your orientation requirement, it is important for you to sign up for and complete the online modules within the required timeline.

Register for NSO at Round Rock

Transfer students wishing to register for courses at the Round Rock Campus (RRC) are also required to complete an orientation experience.  Students may register to attend an on-campus one-day session or an asynchronous online module to meet this requirement. 

 

 

NSO Sign Up

Transfer Orientation is for incoming students who have completed transferable course work at another college or university and have been out of high school for at least one semester (not including summer).

    • SUMMER 2025 NSO DATES
      • Complete asynchronous online modules by 5 p.m. on May 22, 2025, for June classes
      •  Complete asynchronous online modules by 5 p.m. on June 27, 2025, for July classes

      Failure to complete the NSO requirement by the posted deadline could cause you to be dropped from all enrolled classes.

      ONLINE NSO FEE = $70

      Students signing up for NSO for Summer 2025 will pay a $70 fee at sign-up.* 

      *The NSO fee will be deferred to the semester bill for students who qualify for an application fee waiver and it may be covered, in full or in part, by financial aid.

      ON-CAMPUS NSO FEE = $110

      Students signing up for NSO for Fall 2025 will pay a $70 fee for online NSO or $110 fee for on-campus NSO at sign-up.*     

      *The NSO fee will be deferred to the semester bill for students who qualify for an application fee waiver and it may be covered, in full or in part, by financial aid.

NSO MATERIALS AND PROGRAM

Information will be available online in May 2025 to review/download and prepare for the on-campus New Student Orientation experience.
