FAMILY AND GUEST NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
ROUND ROCK CAMPUS
Welcome!
Family plays an integral role in a student's transition to Texas State, so we have created a special, optional NSO experience designed to welcome you to the Bobcat family and help you support your new Bobcat. You are invited to participate, but it is not required.
You should sign up for Family and Guest Orientation before you arrive on campus. Have your student sign into their TXST Admission Status Portal to add guests and pay guest fees.
If you plan to sign up on campus, please be prepared to pay the Family and Guest Orientation fee with a credit/debit card. Cash and checks will not be accepted.
FEES
1-day Session (Round Rock) - $25
Fees are per guest.
This non-refundable fee covers materials, one meal, staffing, and other administrative costs.
The Family/Guest fee does not include overnight accommodations.

Parking
Parking is available for all students and their guests while attending NSO in the West Lot parking lot area adjacent to Adolfo Barrera Drive, near the Avery Building. Accessible parking is available with a state-issued Persons with Disabilities Parking Placard or License Plate. Parking permit registration is not required since New Student Orientation receives a "special event" designation. Additional parking information is available online.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Overnight accommodations are not included in the Family and Guest orientation fee; however, if you are needing to reserve overnight lodging for this experience you may consider Round Rock area hotels. For your convenience, a list of hotels in the area is available on the Round Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau website.
